Forever Flagpoles offers two grades of USA flags: nylon (200 Denier Nylon-Type 66 Bright) and polyester (2x2 Ply Polyester). Of the 5 grades offered by most flag manufacturers, these represent the top two. The nylon is a little less expensive, but flies easier in light air because of its lighter material weight. The 2 ply poly is the best flag manufactured. Heavier material means it is more costly, and it may not fly as well in light winds, but it should hold up longer.
Except for the material, both are manufactured using the same method, and feature:
1. Embroidered stars
2. All seams have ¼” needle gauge-more material stronger seams
3. Unidirectional chain stitch sewn stripes-stronger and more forgiving than lock stitch sewn stripes
4. All seams have colored matched thread
5. Fly-end has four rows of stitching on sizes up to 8x12’ with single X-Box on the flyend
6. Heavy duty 9 ounce poly sateen heading with grommets-2x3’-6x10’
